Marcela Prieto Botero is a distinguished Colombian political scientist and public policy expert with deep expertise in geopolitics, adept at navigating complex cultural and political landscapes across Latin America, Spain, and the United States. She holds a degree in Political Science from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and a Master’s in Public Policy with a focus on Latin America from the University of Oxford, UK. With over two decades of experience, she has become a vital bridge for intercultural understanding and strategic collaboration, leading numerous high-impact projects and organizations dedicated to advancing democratic values, strengthening public institutions, and driving policy reforms across the Americas. Marcela has continuously shared her expertise, shaping future leaders to engage thoughtfully in global issues.

 

Marcela has held pivotal roles that underscore her impact and leadership, including her current position as CEO of Vision Americas International, where she directs a team of professionals across Ibero-America, guiding multinational organizations and governments through complex internationalization and public affairs strategies. Marcela also excelled as General Director at Foros Semana, where she transformed the organization into Colombia’s foremost platform for public dialogue by convening influential leaders to discuss critical national and regional issues. She previously served as Executive Director at the Instituto de Ciencia Política Hernán Echavarría Olózaga, where she promoted critical policy debates and fostered collaboration between public and private sectors.
